About Resonanteye

I am a woman tattoo artist working in the pacific northwest.

My name’s Anji Marth. On the internet I am resonanteye everywhere I go and always have been. I’ve been tattooing since the late 90s. I currently work at High Priestess. Feel free to comment on any post you like; I love saying hello to new people on here.

I work in a variety of mediums, so it’s difficult to pin down what my work is. I like death and life as subjects. I use watercolor, tattoo, oil paint, pencil, pen and ink, photography, digital graphic design, taxidermy, and also sculpture.  I live in Alsea, Oregon, Cascadia. I am currently on a sabbatical from tattooing, visiting Spokane, WA and focusing on my 2d art projects and books.

I used to live in Seattle, Sacramento, Philadelphia, and  Eugene. I have worked at Slave to the Needle, Heaven Sent Tattoo, Laughing Buddha Tattoo, Apocalypse Tattoo (briefly), and High Priestess (currently). I’ve done guest spots all around the country. I’ve won a few trophies at conventions, and will be working more of those this coming year.

If you want to get your hands on some art, I sell everything I make. You can see what I’ve got ready to ship – the things I truly want to sell, things which are finished. These things are available HERE, CLICKIKYCLICK.

You can also find me at  Facebook, instagram, tumblr, bme, ogrishforum, deviantart, twitter, last.fm, youtube, pretty much anywhere in the internet if you dig deep enough. And I love stalkers, so feel free to digest everything you can find about me. I have, for the last twenty years, discussed every available bit of myself and my thought, my feelings and my work, and the process I go through to do these things. I have laid bare my internal gears and workings, and I hope you find enjoyment in following that dark thread back into the archives.

I have a few hobbies- deep-woods survival hiking and camping, free solo rock climbing, foraging, mushroom hunting, running, vaping, shooting pool, and I collect depression-era mason jars. I also enjoy stargazing, hunting (elk and turkey) and target shooting. I like horror movies and stories, coffee, and being alone.

I ask nothing more back from you in exchange for all the amazement and furor I’ll give your mind- except that you buy some of my art, as much as you can afford, for yourself and for others. and if you can afford none, then to spread the word far and wide, that here on this very website, IS ENTERTAINMENT AND DELIGHT, A FEAST FOR THE PARCHED EYES OF THE MASSES.

Thank you for all the years of kind attention and debate. This site’s blog began in 2004, and I’ve changed a lot over the years, thanks to you guys.

  1. Also: found ya on Reddit. StarshineSuckerpunch.

  2. Awesome!! My BF lived in Eugene once upon a time, worked at OSU and has pals in Corvallis. It’s random that I’m meeting all these people that are all popping up in that same small area of the state. I’m probably destined to live out there at one point in the future. :P Anyway… your page is great. I love that you’re doing what you love and run a website about all of it (and that there are multiple things that you love). I don’t know why I’m saying all this. Cheers, love the site. Rock on

  9. Silly man, leaving such a well-thought-out piece of rant and brag, as a mere comment on someone else’s fully-formed web page.

The next time you see your significant other, mistress, secretary, or housekeeper, do men a favor everywhere. Place your right foot slightly back, raise your fist, step forward and drive it as hard as you can into her face/ribs.

Women tend to forget something in this modern era full of independent women: They are inferior. Furthermore, they are objects. They may not agree with this while their lungs burn each time they try to inhale, you standing prone over their rigid body with an obvious hard-on. But later, while they cry into their pillow, calling their sister in North Dakota, it will dawn on them: “I deserved it”.

Why? I am a man and I fucking say so, cunt. I am stronger than you. Odds are I am also smarter than you. I will admit there quite intelligent vagina holdin bi-pedals on this planet. But if you notice, when you date these soul suckers, they all revert to their 17 year old selves. Drama, mood swings, irrational thoughts, more drama, crying, etc. Your PhD did not make you any more rational once you were fucked proper by myself, or any of my male peers. You turn into blubbering, cum drenched shit bags.

Once again, I am stronger than you. Want respect? Push up contest. I will win every time. Let’s arm wrestle. I win, forever.

You deserve the punch/es. That awkward moment, when I came on your face while you cried from the lashes on your chest from the extension cord? You deserved it.

Did you see the fucking hospital bill?! We have iodine in the cupboard, ffs. I didnt go to the ER when I broke my hand on your eye orbit. Pussy.

Go ahead, call your brother. Until he gets here, I will beat your face until it looks like fucking moldy raisin loaf. Don’t make me heat up the iron. Symmetric burn patterns on your thighs will be less than pleasant.

The point I’m getting at here is that we should all be throwing our fist around more often. They need to be put in their place every so often. There will a lot of yippy comments from the females in this thread. Obviously, they were neither beat hard enough nor long enough. If they would simply experience the painful burn of a punctured lung, the agonizing defeat of a broken hip, or the searing hell that is a curling iron on the tongue, they would act proper.

When you are with your lady you should look like youre bench pressing 270lb. The vein on your forehead should be ready to explode the second she breathes too loud.

    Throw those fists.

    A rose to my princesses.

MOAR FIGGING! Surplus nigger lungs in mines?

  11. on another note: many of the bird species represented can be found at the seattle zoo and portland zoo. most are not north american birds, those that are have not been listed in cites or the mba.

I had some worries about the human remains, actually, moreso than the animal remains. simply because I knew the animal laws better than the rest :)

  12. the buzzard feathers were retrieved legally from a wildlife sanctuary with full permission, they are from local nonendangered turkey buzzards, (from a southwestern rehab facility: It is listed as a species of Least Concern by the IUCN Red List-along with house mouse and humans- and feathers are permitted to be used and displayed) not from any restricted species. There are no endangered or protected corvid or eagle feathers on display. I’ve been aware of CITES and the migratory bird act. None of the particular species used are illegal to buy OR sell in part, although some are illegal to hunt or kill.

Thanks for the concern, though. I tried to be complete in describing this in my posted art statement that is hanging at the speakeasy; perhaps you didn’t get a chance to stop and read it on your way in (it is posted next to the large mule skull, near the door.)

    Hi there,

While visiting the Speakeasy for Ghost House, I saw your lovely and evocative works! Really nice use of organic materials, and beautiful tributes to the animals who once wore these remains.

I did want to give you a friendly heads-up that some of the feathers you’re selling in your art are illegal to buy or sell, even shed, including buzzard and corvid feathers. These are species covered under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. You can find more info on it and other legalities at http://www.thegreenwolf.com/partslaws.html – I wasn’t sure if you were aware of the legal restrictions or not.

Anyway, I really appreciate the low-impact scavenging you’re doing as a way to work with animal parts in an ethical manner. I’m glad I got to see your show!
